The Jonesborough Days 2016 parade in Jonesborough, Tennessee took place on July 2. Accompanying the spectacular Jonesborough Days festival, the parade was filled with hometown goodness; decorated horses, Veteran recognition, adorable cheerleaders and baton twirlers, bands, old-time music, princesses, vintage cars, and more. The streets were lined with folks eager to cheer on their friends and family on the floats, on foot and in vehicles. The happiness was contagious, and is an atmosphere that could only bring sheer joy to a person's face- especially of my own, a gal who was born and raised in this beautiful, quaint town tucked away in the hills of east Tennessee.
During the parade, I practiced with some new vantage points and frames, like framing adorable siblings with the legs of the horse they were beaming at. The setting on Main Street is one that is a dream to photograph for sure, and getting a chance to do it professionally is rare and wonderful. Saying I love my job would be an understatement.
